De Gaulle (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December ti. Headquarters of the Free French Forces announced that M. Richard Brunei, who was High Commissioner in the Cameroons at the time of the armistice between France and Germany, and who immediately took steps to continue the war against Germany, has arrived in London. M. Brunot, who has been in the colonial service in French West Africa for the last 30 years, offered his services to General de Gaulle. He has been put in charge of the colonial section at the Free French headquarters. After serving in various outposts, where lie was in close contact Avith the native population, he occupied important posts in French West Africa, Equatorial Africa, and in the Cameroons. The intimate knowledge of colonial problems and the prestige which M. Brunot enjoys with European and native populations in Africa will bo of great help to Free 'Franco.
