Promoted
An announcement that the six candidates for service in the Royal Navy under Scheme A who left New Zealand on August 11, 1910, have been promoted by the Admiralty to the rank of temporary Lieutenants, R.N.V.R., from November 9, was made on Saturday by the Minister of Defence, Mr. Jones. "Of the six officers four have been appointed in command of auxiliary vessels and the remaining two to destroyers transferred from the United States jiavy to Ilie Royal Navy,' said the Minister.
‘The new officers are Messrs. J. L. Allan (Wellington), S. C. Bradley (Wellington), B. K. Entwisle (Levin), J. E. Hancox (Wellington), A. G. Hanson (Wellington), E. C. AV. Hassall (Na pier).
