Malls close at post office, Te Are, CA and Wellington East, C. 3, one half hour prior to the closing of mails at the chief post office, between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. (Mails for Auckland, by “Limited” express, elose at these offices at 4.30 0.m.). SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14. Australian Stales and countries via Australia, 10 a.m. Other overseas mails will be dispatched as opportunity offers. TRANSTASMAN AIR SERVICE. Mails will close at Wellington three times each fortnight. Note: Postage rates include air services Ln New Zealand when necessary. TRANSPACIFIC AIRMAIL. The closing time for mails from Wellington will be at 4 p.m., Thui-sday, December 19. For further particulars apply at post office. Postage Rates.—Australia (Including air services in Australia): Letters, sd. each half ounce; postcards, 3d. Egypt, Africa, and intermediate Empire countries: Letters, 1/6 each half ounce; postcards, 9d. Foreign countries intermediate between Australia and Egypt: Letters, special rates apply; postcards, inquire at post office. Note.—Postage rates include air services in New Zealand when necessary.
