ACADEMY EXHIBITION
The annual exhibition by the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts is being held in the National Art Gallery, Wellington. 'The gallery is open daily, including Sundays, from 2 to 5 p.ra. "Painting,” a lecture prepared by Sydney L. Thompson, 0.8. E., will he read in the exhibition gallery on Wednesday night, beginning at 8 o’clock. Tlie lecture, which will be illustrated with 46 lantern slides, traces the changes which have taken place in painting from the drawings of prehistoric cavenien to the present.
