LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS
The executive of the Wellingfon Ratepayers’ Association took the first steps toward I lie local body elections campaign at its meriting on Thursday night. It was decided to form a Greater Wellington Ratepayers ami Citizens’ Election Committee, and a subcommittee was appointed to receive names of possible candidates for the mayoralty, city council, hospital board and harbour - board, and to draw up points of policy. It was also resolved that, in addition to providing that Jill executive members of the association should bo members of the general campaign commit tee. the campaign committee should have power to co-opt any ratepayer or citizen eligible, aud who would be likely to further (lie objects of the campaign committee.
