One of the difficulties arising from the air offensive on Loudon, mentioned in a recent broadcast from Daventry, is the question of women’s permanent waves. On a number of occasions, it was remarked, hairdressers have been placed in an awkward position when sirens have sounded with their clients in the chair and their hair wrapped up in the complicated paraphernalia of the permanent wave apparatus.
