FINISH THE STORY
“ r l''HE Flipperty-Man lived in a tiny house by a twisted apple tree. It was a house very hard to find, and even the Flipperty-Man may not have been able to find it, had it not had a fluted lantern hanging over the front door, and a jumbled roof which was very picturesque (but was rather a bother, because it leaked in wet weather), three front steps (which were worn in the middle), aud a clothesline which was the Flipperty-Man's special pride. It was really a queer, humpy bit of a house, but the Flipperty-Man loved it. One night the rain poured and poured. Everybody i Ise on the common was in bed and sleeping, and the Flip-perty-Man was just pulling on his bedsocks when a knock —.”
Now it is your turn to conclude this story of the fairy-tale man and his quaint little house! Give it a plot, or theme, introduce a few more characters if you like, but keep it brief and to the' point. Post the completed tale to me before Wednesday next. Remember to mark it with age, name, penname and address.—KlWl.
