Keen Demand For All Good Sorts CARTERTON SALE Dominion Special Service. I MASTERTON, September 7. A small yarding of sheep and cattle and a good yarding of pigs was forward at the sale at Carterton yesterday, and was offered to a large attendance. In the dairy section cows and heifers showing quality and condition sold well, but late culvers and low-conditioned sorts were hard to quit. Sheep and pigs sold well up to late rates. Realizations are: Sheep: Fat wethers, to 37/-; light fat wethers, 30/- to 32/; fat ewes, 26/6, 28/9 to 33/-; fat hoggets, 26/9, 27/6 to 29/6; b.f.'hoggets, to 21/9; wether hoggets, 21/4 to 24/6; ewe hoggets, to 26/3; forward wethers, to 27/3. Cattle: Jersey cows on drop, ±lO to £l2/5/-; Jersey just calved, £6 to £l2; cows in milk, £5, £7/15/- to £S; springing heifers, £8 to £10; springing cows, £4/10/- to £9/10/-; fat cows, £7 to £9/5/-; fat heifers, £4/10/- to £7 lO Horses: One three-yenr mare, nil work £18; one four-year mare, all work, ±lB 10/-; one five-year gelding, all work, £3O/10/-: one six-year mure, broken to chains, £37. on/ .
