ITALIAN THREAT

Attitude To Egypt LONDON, August 23. The official Stefani nows agency stated in Romo that if it is correctly reported from Cairo that an Egyptian mobile division has taken up its position beside British troops in order to repel an Italian invasion Italy could not remain indifferent. The Italian attitude toward Egypt lias already been fixed, says the agency. Italy does nut intend to attack Egypt, but only British troops found in Egyptian territory. Italy knows very well that if Egypt were not dominated by Britain’s despotic violence, her attitude toward Italy would be different, but if Egypt decided to make common cause witli Britain and proceeded to take action against Italy that would alter the present state of affairs and Italy would give the necessary reply.
