Knock-out Competition MIRAMAR BEAT NEWTOWN In the semifinal of the Wellington Rugby League’s knock-out competition at Newtown Park on Saturday afternoon, Miramar beat Newtown by 16 points to S. The game started at a fast pace, both teams throwing the ball about freely. Newtown attacked early, but a good kick by Askew brought play to Newtown’s twenty-live, where Bernecker was penalized for not playing the ball, and Askew goaled with a good kick.
