WEDDINGS

Jones —Kyle

The wedding took place in St. John’s Church, Feilding, recently of Alarga'ret, only daughter of Air. and Airs. AV. A. Kyle, Aoraugi, Feilding, and Frederick Petrie, younger son of Air. and Airs. G. A. Jones, Johnsonville. The Ven. Archdeacon F. 11. Petrie, ALA., officiated, and Air. A. E. Golding, L.T.C.L., played the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a trained gown of ivory chiffon velvet with softly draped bodice to the corselette waistline. Her tulle veil fell from a coronet of lilies of the valley. The flowers for the ceremony were a special feature for which Airs. J. Alason was responsible, the bride’s sheaf being an exquisite creation of hothouse Christmas lilies and freesias.

The bridesmaid was Aliss Margaret Pegden, Palmerston North, who wore a full skirted gown of ivory chiffon velvet with bustle back, moulded corsage and high neckline, and she carried a sheaf of deep red camellias and cyclamen. Air. Richard Kyle, brother of the bride, was best man and Air. Bernard Kyle, Otaki, was the usher at the church.

The reception wits held til. "Busby J’.'ii'k” (Aorangi), the home of the bride’s parents, where the lounges and billiard-room were decorated with scarlet and white Howers. Mrs. Kyle’s hostess frock was of beige lace with which she wore matching Howers. Mrs. ■Tones wore panne velvet and matching coat.

When the bride and bridegroom left, the bride travelled in a smart grey tailored suit with black hat and accessories. Their home will be at Arntika, Colytou.
