SOLDIERS INJURED
Weekend Accidents
A number of soldier casualties were taken to hospital by the Wellington Free Ambulance, as a result of accidents during the weekend. J. Brown, soldier, of Palmer Head, received abrasions to his right hand and injuries to his legs when he was knocked down by a car in Lambton Quay about 8.15 on Saturday night. A. J. Austin, of Donald Street, Karori, a soldier, knocked down by a car in Tasman Street about 3.30 p.m. on Saturday, received a lacerated scalp and a fractured right collarbone. B. Wilson, soldier, of Trenthirm Gamp, injured his head when lie fell down Plimmer’s Steps about 12.35 on Saturday. . ± All were taken to the Wellington Public Hospital for treatment.
