Demanded NEW YORK, August 23. 'l.'he Dies Committee, which is investigating subversive activities, lias issued a subpoena against the German Tourist Information Office, demanding tiie immediate production of all records and correspondence on tiie ollice tiles as part of a broader investigation of Hie sources of German propaganda in the United Slates. The United States Attorney's ollice is investigating an allegation made by Dr. Schwarz, former German Consul in New York, who was dismissed by Hitler and is now an American citizen, tliat the Germans have formed what is described as a travel and foreign exchange bureau but what in reality is the headquarters of the Gestapo in the United States.
