Breach Of Conditions Of Release On Probation Described by tlie probation ollieer. as having been most unsatisfactory, \\ ilhaiu John Herbert Fraser, painter, aged 41. was sentenced by Air. Stout. S.M.. m the Alagistrates’ Court. Wellington, yesterday. to one month’s jail with hard labour, the term to be cumulative with a sentence of three months imposed m I almerston North recently. . , Fraser was charged with a breach ot the conditions of his release on probation. and ott the application ol the probation otlicer was dealt with on the original count, a theft charge involving, W 7.-6 in money and a purse valued at i /b. Fraser was convicted on this charge in Tunc 1939. and was admitted to, probation for two years, said the probation officer. He was also ordered to make restitution. and had reported till September. He made restitution of 10/- mid lett the balance owing.
