FEEDING PROBLEMS

No section of the community is more anxious to give practical assistance in the cause of increased production than is the small farmer, and one of the directions in which he may assist the Empire’s war efforts is by rearing more pigs and calves. In the past, however, feeding problems during the winter and early spring months were not easily overcome, but today we have “Milkiwey Paste.” “Milkiwey Paste,” a product of Dairy Products, Ltd., Edindale, Southland, and which is distributed by Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., all

blanches, and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., all branches, is claimed to be the only real and genuine substitute for milk or whey, and may be fed with benefit not only to pigs and calves, but to horses, cows and poultry as well. It is a concentrated natural food, one pound of which is equal to a gallon of pure milk. It is, in fact, an extract of pure milk, and contains no artificial ingredients, and it is claimed has proved as beneficial to young stock as whole milk. It is easy to mix and feed, and will keep indefinitely without deterioration, and comes in 561 b. tins and scwt. drums. The manufacturers emphasize that it is not economical to use whey paste when an ample supply of whey or skim-milk is available unless required to push on or top off weaners, or put a polish on young pigs. FARM BUILDINGS Farmers! You now have the opportunity to act with regard to the many buildings that are required on your farms, to assist in production.
