A CASE FOR MRS. BRADLEY
“Brazen Tongue,” by Gladys Mitchell (London: Joseph).
A. new book by Miss Gladys Mitchell is an event for all connoisseurs of detective fiction, and Luong b “Brazen Tongue” hardly shows her at her best, it is nevertheless a pleasure to read and to renew acquaintance with that great detective, the amazing Mrs. Bradley, is a stimulating experience. As usual there 19 rich variety in the characterizations and A.It.P. activities play a considerable part in the story, as Mrs. Bradley busies herself in solving the mystery of three deaths in an English town. Not all Miss Mitchell’s persuasiveness, however, can induce belief in the adequacy of the motives she advances for the murders.
