Appointments Announced

(Received August 23, 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY, August 22. The India Office announced the following appointments: — Sir Francis Wylie, Governor of the Central Provinces and Berar. lias accepted the appointment of political adviser rendered vacant by the selection of Sir Bertrand Glancy as Governor of the Punjab. Mr. J. Twyman is made Governor of the Central Provinces and Berar. Mr. A. 11. de B. Hamilton is appointed a judge of the High Court of the Judicature at Allahabad, on the retirement ot' Sir Edward Bonnet.
