Vice-Regal. Her Excellency Lady Galway formally opened the aumml conference of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society yesterday morning. 'Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gardner. Havelock North, are visitors to Welliugtou. Mrs. W. A. von Keisenberg, Northland, Wellington, who was a visitor to Levin for the Buxton-Burdekin wedding, has returned home. Mrs. AV. Mackay, Christchurch, arrived at Wellington yesterday morning to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society. Mrs. A. Beetham, Ngttio, Wellington, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. J. Murchie, Hamilton. Mrs. O. E. Flyger and Mrs. J. Russell, New Plymouth, are visiting Wellington.
Miss Norah Enderby, formerly principal of Amberley House School, Canterbury, is in Lincolnshire, Fngland, staying with a sister and recovering from a recent operation. Mrs. Piraui, wife of Dr. Max Pirani. the examiner for the Royal Colleges of Music, who was in Wellington hist week, has left for Christchurch, where she has friends. Mrs. Pirani was formerly Miss Leila Doubleday, Melbourne, a gifted violinist and pianist.
