Next Week
The final competition games _of the men's indoor basketball competition will be played next Tuesday night at the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium, when the knockout competitions will be concluded with the following games;— I 7 p.m" YAL Tigers v. North-Western (semifinal minor knockout) ; t. 30 P- m -> Woolworths A v. .Residents (semifinal minor knockout) ; S p.m., Taxes A v. St. Joseph’s (semifinal mayor knockout); 8.30 p.m., Taxes C v. Y.M. Gym. (semifinal major knockout) ; 9 P.m., final minor knockout; 9.30 p.m., final major knockout. , The following were the results ot the matches played last week. The only surprise was the defeat of the Mormon A grade team by Taxes C, runners-up in this year's B grade competition. By their victory, Taxes C now enter the semifinal of the open knockout competition, and are the first B grade side to achieve this distinction. Results:— Taxes C 21, Mormons 20: Taxes A 26 McCrea's IS; St. Joseph's 19, S.M. Bodies 6; Y.M. Gym. 21, Woolworths B II ; Y.M. Tigers ’35, Y.M. Wolves 2 ; Woolworths 27, Bristol 17; Residents 11, Taxes B 10; North-Western won by default.
