Live Hare Coursing

DUNEDIN, August 21

A decision to circularize kindred societies to ascertain their views on the question of approaching the Government to have live hare coursing banned, was unanimously carried at a meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. It was also decided to gather relevant evidence upon the conduct of the Dunedin club’s June meeting for submission for a legal opinion on the advisability of launching a prosecution on the ground of cruelty.
