W. .YoungHouse Contents (Davidson). ■VII RAM AR ESPERANTO SOCIETY Overseas Esperanto magazines were displayed at. this week’s meeting of the Miramar Esperanto Society. Mr. Bertram Botts, who presided, said that though some of the papers came from widely separated countries, the language was the same and equally comprehensible. Classes were formed and the 16 Esperanto rules carefully explained, with appropriate examples. “Esperanto," said Mr. IVilliam Smith, the secretary, and one of the teachers, “has been rightly described as the quintessence of the Western languages. It well repays its study, and opens the door to many foreign literatures. It is now widely disseminated in all parts of the world/'
