Mrs. D. M. L. Neame, wife of Commander Neame, has returned to Auckland from a visit Io Wellington. Miss Barbara Humphreys, New Plymouth, will leave 'Wellington shortly to spend a holiday in Australia. Mrs. J. S. Barton has returned to Lower Hutt, after spending a short holiday in Auckland. Mrs. Noel Adams, Clevedon. Auckland, Dominion president of the W.D.F.U., who has been visiting 'Wellington for the annual Dominion conference of the division, will return to Auckland this morning. Mrs. Marmaduke Bethel], Hnrnnui, North Canterbury, who lias been visiting Wellington for the W.D.F.U conference. has left for a visit to Hawke’s Bay. Mrs. Peter Savage, St. Ilelier’s Bay, Auckland, lias arrived on a visit to her mother, Mrs. Vivian Riddiford. Lower Hutt. Miss Pat Wood, Hastings, and Miss Neville Treaty, ■Wellington,'are spending a holiday in the South Island, and at present are visiting friends in South Canterbury. Mrs. D. G. Sullivan, Christchurch, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. W. Yonge, Lower Hutt, is visiting her mother. Mrs. 11. C. D. Lightbourne, Hamilton. Miss Reka Paterson, Remuera Road, Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs. Ernest Woolcott. Hataitai. for the past sis months, will leave Wellington on her return to Auckland on Monday night.

Wildest own ‘‘Bring and Buy.” A successful “bring and buy” was held recently by Hie Wadestown subcentre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society and despite unfavourable weather there was a large attendance. Stalls were well stocked with an attractive range of goods and as a result the sub-centre’s funds have been materially increased. Two competitions were drawn. Mr. Duckworth received an electric jug, ami a luncheon set was won by Mrs. Ashberg, Wadestown Road.
