PIANOFORTE RECITAL

The pianoforte pupils ot Mrs. Ethel McKay gave a recital in. the Concert Chamber on Tuesday evening in aid ot lied Cross' funds. The programme, as diverse as it was interesting, gave the voting people ample opportunity to display their talent, and Hie maimer in which they did so reflects credit upon their teacher. Nicolai and Dohnanyi. names that cover a fair section of creative pianoforte music. Those who took part were Ann Ross’, Freda Porter, Josephine Gilmer, Huia MeLeod, Olive Gayford. Olive Fordham, Kora Lang, Edna Gorrie. Paul Magill, Jocelyn Walker, Shirley Craig, Myra Nicol. Leslie Souner-’s, Lyla Brady, Alice and Foster Reid. Tui McLeod, Ngaire llighet. Linda Cooper, Janies Crawford, Elsie Phillips, Merle Green, Margaret Holm and Brian Scoullar.
