Monthly Cup Won By R. Lee

The monthly weight-lifting improvement contest was held last night at Koolman’s Gymnasium.

11. Lee gave a good demonstration of style and technique to win the monthly cup for the second time. If the 'Wellington championships are held this year, Lee should be a strong contender for championship honours. A. 'White lifted in his usual good style, and just failed (in his third attempt) to snatch 2001 b. The ranks of the New Zealand association are now depleted because of army enlistments, but a continued effort is being made to curry on activities as long as possible. The New Zealand association will meet early next month to decide whether to hold the New Zealand championships in October. Detailed results were:—
