Gold Mining Returns Golden Sands return was 370 z. for 72 shifts. Waitahn Gold Mining Co., Ltd., reports a further, partial wash-up of. No. 22 paddock, resulting in a return of 530 z. 3dwt. for 21 shifts of eight hours each. This makes a total -of 1520 z. 4dwt. so far recovered from this paddock. Ngahere: Fortnightly return to July 1 was 2680 z. for a yardage of 164,000 in 271 hours’ dredging time. (.By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, July 3. The following dredge returns for June are reported:— Barrytown: 2070 z. from 213,000 cubic yards in 500 hours. Kanicri: 11290 z. from 276,000 cubic yards in 514 hours. Arahura: 15330 z. from 352,000 cubic yards in 563 hours. DUNEDIN, July 3. The Okarito dredge reports a wash-up of 7oz. 15dwt. for 118 hours’ work. The Paddy’s Point Gold Mining Co. reports a wash-up of 121 oz. 13dwt. for 44 days’ sluicing. Traders’ Finance Capital Shareholders of the Traders’ Finance Corporation, Limited, yesterday unanimously adopted resolutions reducing the capital of the company from £157,500 to £122,500 by the paying-off of certain issued preference shares and the cancellation of others unissued. Subject to the approval of the Court the future capital of the company will be made up entirely of ordinary shares of 17/6 each. Wairarapa Permanent Investment Assn. At the sixty-seventh annual meeting of the Permanent Investment and Loan Association of Wairarapa, held in Greytown last'Monday, the directors' report stated that deposits amounted to £57,415 Shares current now totalled 1497, 121 having matured and been withdrawn. The suspense account, held to meet probable losses has been increased to £2715. The retiring directors, Messrs. A. Casselberg and J. C. Bidwill., were re-eleetel.
