WELLINGTON BOXING
Young Gildo, the “Filipino Flash.” and Jack Jarvis, the professional lightweight, boxing champion of New Zealand, will meet in the Town Hall, Wellington, on Saturday night io contest Jarvis’ title.
When Jarvis defended his title against Jackie Sharp early in lhe season, lie gave an excellent, display, and his popularity is now greater than ever. Gildo has been in great form this year, having scored it win and a draw in three matches against Johnny Hutchinson, the brilliant Preliminaries will begin at 8 o’clock.
