Petrol rationing is likely to have an adverse effect on the revenue received by local bodies from motorists, according to a statement made to tlio Napier Borough Council by the town clerk, Mr. F. R. Watters. He said Napier’ borough's share .of petrol tax received from thei Treasury for last quarter (January to March) was within a few pounds of the total for the same quarter last year, but as this included Exhibition traffic a heavy falling-off was to be expected in the next payments.
