BIRD SANCTUARY PROPOSAL

Dominion Special Service. PALMERSTON N„ June 25. The Palmerston North City Council received a letter from the Forest and Bird Protection Society, suggesting that it consider the purchase of 70 acres of bush near Awahuri, owned by the Afarist Brothers, as a sanctuary. The council decided to advise the society to refer the proposal to the Government.
