WELLINGTON TJEAM TO PLAY TARANAKI
The Wellington team to meet-Taranaki in the Rugby representative match at Hawera ou Wednesday of next week has been selected by Mr. A. McDonald as follows:—J. M. Taylor (Wellington); A. Wright (Wellington College Old Boys), J- Thurston (Athletic), J. Gillespie (Marist Bros. Old Boys) ; L. Thomas (Onslow), R. Veitch (Wellington) ; C. O’Halloran (Athletic) ; E. L. Todd (St. Patrick's College Old Boys), J. Gunn (Athletic), F. J. Cassidy (Hutt), McNicol (University), It. J. Kemp (Hutt), A. Kenny (Johnsonville), T. F. Hegglun (Poneke), and A. C. McCarthy (Petone). Emergencies: C. M. Ongley (Poneke), and J. Burns‘(Johnsonville). The players are to train at the Poneke gymnasium on Monday'night. Any jiot available for the trip should advise the Rugby Union secretary without delay.
CHRISTCHURCH BEAT TIMARU H.S, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, June 25. Christchurch High School beat Timaru High School in the annual match today by 16 points to 11. Play was fast and open, the visitors being a shade better in all departments. Christchurch won the junior game by 5 points to 3.
