The latest gift is from Sir Harry and Lady Oakes, of Nassau, Bahamas, who have cabled £lOOO to the Ministry of Aircraft Production for the purchase of a fighter aeroplane. Sir Harry Oakes is a member of the Bahamas House of Assembly. A fond which is being raised in British Guinea to purchase a bombing aircraft totalled 152,000 dollars in the first week.
