Strong Demand At Feilding BEEF KEENLY SOUGHT Dominion Special Service. FEILDING. June 21. Poultry prices are: Hens. 1/1 to 3/11; cockerels, 1/- to 4/2; turkejr hens, 4/6 to 4/9: gobblers, 11/- to 13/-, Outstanding Dairy Herd Sold PAHIATUA, June 21. On account of T. G. Harvey, J'ahiatua, a successful sale of dairy cows and horses was held recently. The dairy herd, which comprised 85 head, was one of the most outstanding submitted to auction in the Pahiatua district for many years. A feature of the sale was the disposal of a Friesian cow which had produced just ou GWlib. of butterfat during the past year. Mr. T. Parker, of the Wattle Dairy Co., was the buyec paying £33/10/-. The top 60 cows averaged £l3/15/-. Prices are: Best July-August ealvers £l3 to £33/10/-: August-September ealvers £lO to £l3/10/-; unsound and later calving cows £6/10/- to £B/10/-. PIGS AND POULTRY SALE PALMERSTON N., June 21. A keen demand resulted for al] classes of pigs at the sale conducted in Palmerston North yesterday. Poultry also sold well.
