Thirty-seventh Annual Report The thirty-seventh annual report of the Karori Bowling Club states that the membership at the end of the year was 90, including 99 playing members. “We regret,” tlie report continues, "to record tlie decease of Mr. T. Campbell, who was one of our foundation members, and of Mr. M. P. Spiers. The club’s appreciation of Mr. Campbell's long and valuable service to the club iiad been shown at last annual meeting by his election as a life member. Mr. .Spiers was also a member of many years’ standing, during which lie rendered great service to the club; he was president for two years in succession. "To Mr. Hamilton we are greatly indebted for the gift of the coring apparatus and turf cutters. Mr. M. Gandar gave valuable assistance by taking the levels of the green. The club’s thanks are also due to Messrs. G. G. McFarlane and A. Dempster for donations to the trophy fund, and to Messrs. Peak mid Raiue. visitors, for donations to the club funds. The club received assistance from the following m iniproiements to the club's premises and the grounds and garden plots Messrs. Dixon, Dallas, McFarlane. A allwork, Dryden, Homsley, Cooper, Burn, Christenson, Dempster. Field, and Cattanacli. "With the coring apparatus donated by Mr. Hamilton, the green was cored all over in an expeditious manner, and tlie unremitting attention of the green superintendent. Mr. Burn, and the greenkeeper, resulted in the green being in excellent order, and notwithstanding the heavy use for tournament play, it was very little impaired throughout the season.
