PLUCK OF WEYGAND Hazardous Visit To The Northern Armies (Received May 28, 7.5 p.m.) • PARIS, May 27. The Allied Commander-in-Chief, General Weygand, Hying through a hail of anti-aircraft fire, and dodging German warplanes, has visited the Allied armies in northern France and Belgium. General Weygand left Le Bourget in a bomber with an escort of six Morane fighters. They encountered violent anti-aircraft fire when crossing the German lines, and then a patrol of Messerschmitts sighted the convoy, but the Moranes put them to flight. General Weygand embarked in a destroyer at a nearby port after his conference. German warplanes were raining bombs on the district, but French anti-aircraft guns kept them away while the destroyer sailed oft’.
