Mr. Purchase will leave Christchurch soon, to take up Hie jiosition of Assistant AdministratorGeneral and Deputy-Official Receiver in the Protectorate of Uganda. Mr. Purchase, who is a son of Mr. J. E. Purchase, formerly principal of the Christchurch Training College, was born in 1907 irl Ashburloii and educated at Christchurch Boys’ High School and Canterbury University College. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1929 and as a barrister in 1935, when lie graduated LL.B. Mrs. Purchase, formerly Miss Yvonne Levvey. is tr daughter of Mr. E. C. IX'Wey. S.M.
