FAREWELL GATHERING

Overseas Commissioners At Exhibition The commissioners who were in charge of the overseas courts at the Centennial Exhibition were entertained in the Cabinet Room at a farewell afternoon tea yesterday by the Prime Minister, Mr. Eraser, and Mrs. Fraser. The Minister of Industries and Commerce. Mr. Sullivan, who is president of the Exhibition Company, and several other Ministers of the Crown, were also present. The principal guests were Mr. G. JI. Meadniore (United Kingdom), Mr. J. O. Turcotte (Canada i and Mrs, Turcotte, Mr. .1. IT. Wilcox (Australia) and Mrs. Wileox, Mr. D. A. Don,-rid (Fiji) and Mrs. Donald, and Mr. T. R. Toovey (Port of London Authority). An apology for non-tiltendance was received from Mr. J. E. Savory (California). The other guests included those prominently associated with the administration of the Exhibition and trade representatives of overseas countries stationed iu New Zealand.
