SUCCESSFUL YEAR

Foxton Guild Meeting The annual general meeting of All Saints’ Ladies’ Guild, Foxtou, was held in the schoolroom recently, when there was a good attendance of mem bers. The Rev. G. B. Stote-Blandy presided. The annual report, presented by Mrs. F. C. Ilaikes, stated that four guild meetings had been held during the year and had been well attended. Sufficient funds had been raised for the installation of an electric urn and the purchase of heaters, and these had been much appreciated on winter afternoons. The children’s annual bail was held and was most, successful. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:— President, Mrs. G. B. Stote-Blandy; secretary, Miss E. Barber; treasurer, Mrs. W. Trueman. Votes of thanks were accorded Mrs. F. C. Raikes, who had occupied the position of president, and the auditor, Mr. E. W. Thane. It. was decided to hold a short .service in the church prior to the guild meetings and to have a corporate communion on the first Sunday in every month. 11 was also decided to hold the social afternoons on the first Tuesday la June. July. August and September.
