Yesterday’s Reports
Wellington: Fine and sunny, with a light northerly breeze. The minimum temperature on Sunday night was 48deg. and the maximum yesterday was ob.S deg. At 6 p.m. yesterday the temperature was 51.9 deg. and the pressure was 1004 millibars. Masterton: Fine and clear after an 8.3 deg. frost. The sky was cloudless, and there was a very light westerly breeze. Wanganui: Overcast with; a westerly fresh breeze. T?he barometer reading at 4 p.m. was 1008.3 millibars. Palmerston North: Fine but overcast, with some warm sunshine after midday. There was no wind. Waipulturau: A fairly heavy frost was followed by a bright, sunny day. Maximuni temperature, 56deg; barometer, 1006. millibars. Napier and Hastings: Fine with a westerly wind. New Plymouth: Fair to line and calm. Barometer at 5 p.m., 1000 millibars. Auckland: Generally fine with occasional showers and a fresh south-west wind. Barometric pressure, 1012 milliba rs. Christchurch: Fine and sunny with a a light, wind varying between north-east and north-west. The maximum temperature was 63.4 deg., and the barometer was steady, at. 1002 millibars. Dunedin; The sun shone this morning but the sky became overcast later and rain fell toward the end of the afternoon. A slight, breeze prevailed from the southwest, and temperatures were cool, the maximum being 54deg. The barometer fell to 1004 millibars, but was rising again in the evening.
