RELIEF FOR NORWAY

Appeal In Britain For Funds (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 2. The Inauguration of a King Haakon fund for relief in Norway, and an appeal for contributions, were announced in a letter signed by the Foreign Secretary, Lord Halifax, the Norwegian Minister in London, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, the Lord Mayor of London, the Lord Provost of Edinburgh, and Lord Derby. The letter says: ‘‘We appeal to' one and all to assist in the work of bringing relief to Norway and to provide funds to supply food, clothes, medical comforts, and necessities to suffering people and those who are so gallantly struggling to expel the invaders.”
