ESPERANTO AND RED CROSS SOCIETIES

Closer co-operation was needed between the Red Cross and the Esperanto Societies, said the president of the Karori Esperanto Society, Mr. N. Hill, at the weekly meeting on Wednesday. The Esperanto movement, having representatives in every town of importance in the world, would be of incalculable value in the tracing of relatives and friends parted by the chaotic conditions existing today. 'When peace was restored the Esperantists would voluntarily, give every assistance in reuniting those who had been separated. The Esperanto societies and the Red Cross, both being international organizations, and having the same aim, could together give an important and necessary service to the community, said Mr. Hill.
