Tribute To His Memory A tribute to the memory of Sir William Hunt, who died in September, 1939, is contained in the annual report of the president, Mr. L. J. Wild, of (he Royal Agricultural Society of New landFor many years Sir William was honorary treasurer to the society, and was one of the 'best-known figures in the contemporary rural life of the Dominion, the report states. This was not only because of his connexion with important business interests relating to farming, but also because of his active participation in the work of so many local bodies. “As a life governor and honorary treasurer of this society his assistance had been invaluable, specially because of his influence in securing financial support for the Royal Show/’ the report adds.
