Changes In Headquarters Staff Several changes in the staff at Territorial Headquarters of the Salvation Army have been made and will take effect within the next few weeks. Lienfeimiit-Colonel Walls has received advice to hid farewell to his comrades in New Zealand, hut so far his destination has not. been announced. Lieuten-ant-Colonel Sydney Smith, who for the past live years has been the principal of the Salvation Army Training College Is to relinquish that position at the end of .May. He lots been appointed (.'tlltdid,-ties' and Young Peoples’ Secretary and Secretary for Special Efforts. Major Florence Birks and Major Ellen Smith, who were some time ago transferred Io the Aiisirali.-it, East Territory, are to return to the Dominion. Major Birks Ims been appointed Training Principal and .Major Ellen Smith tin- Women's Side t illh-er. Their appointment, it is understood, will strengthen the training staff in New I Zealand. Brigadier Samuel Hayes has been appointed Property Secretary and Secretary for ’War Services. In succession to Brigadier Hayes, tho Commissioner lias appointed Major Henry Gotliii Io be Trade Secretary. .Major Gofliu has, since the opening of the Centennial Exhibition, been in clmrge of the Salvation Army's stall and exhibits, which have been inspni-ted by more than 70,0<H) people during the last six months. In addition be is secretary for bands and has kept' in
active, touch with the hanejs throughout the Dominion. Major Viola Blim-o. who Ims been Women's , Side ( Mln-er at Ibe Training Garrison for several years, Ims been appolnti'd secretary for Home League Affairs under Mrs. Commissioner J. Evan Smith.
