Yesterday’s Reports Wellington. — The morning was showery, but the afternoon and evening were line, with passing cloud. ± here Was a moderate southerly breeze, which 'dropped in the evening. The minimum temperature on Sunday night was -lo—degrees, and the maximum yesterday was 55.2 degrees. At 6 pan. yesterday the temperature was 49.6 degrees, and the barometer reading was 1022 millibars. Palmerston North. — Hollowing a briet period of sunshine early in the morning, the Sky clouded over. After midday, however, there were some periods of sunshine alternating with cloudiness, lhere was no wind. Masterton. — Cold and showery, with a strong southerly wind. Some heavy falls of snow occurred in the ranges. Wanganui.— Hine and clear, with a light variable breeze. Sea slight swell. The barometer reading at 4 p.m. was 1023.3 millibars. . Napier and Hastings.—A dull day, with a south-westerly wind. Waiptikurau.— Dull and overcast, with lower temperatures, the maximum being 54 degrees. The barometer at < p.m. read 1021 millibars. Auckland.— Sunny and fine, with a moderate south-west wind. The_ barometric pressure was steady, the 5 p.m. reading being 1023 millibars. Chi-isteliurch. — After bright sunshine in the earlv morning, the sky clouded, and the latter part of the day was overcast. A moderate south-west breeze prevailed. The maximum temperature was 54.6 degrees. The barometer fell slightly lo 1021.3 millibars at 5 p.m. Dunedin.— The sun shone intermittently, there being a light breeze from the south-west, Temp ora turcs were co ° mild, and the maximum was 5'5 degrees. The barometer was steady at 1924 millibars.
