Some heavy falls of snow occurred in the ranges. Wanganui.— Hine and clear, with a light variable breeze. Sea slight swell. The barometer reading at 4 p.m. was 1023.3 millibars. . Napier and Hastings.—A dull day, with a south-westerly wind. Waiptikurau.— Dull and overcast, with lower temperatures, the maximum being 54 degrees. The barometer at < p.m. read 1021 millibars.
