Wairarapa Federation's Annual Meeting The second, annual meeting of the ■Wairarapa Federation of 'Women’s Institutes was held in Masterton last week, the following institutes being represented: Kaituna-Fernridge, Upper Plain, Opaki, Solway-Manaia, Kopuaranga, Mt. Bruce, Mauriceville, Tinui, Gladstone, Carterton, Kahautara, Martinborough, Pirinoa, To Ore Ore, Matarawa, Dalefield and Parkvale. The annual report, presented by the secretary, Mrs. N. McKay, recorded good progress in the many activities of the fedora I lon. There were now .17 institutes in the federation, with a total membership of 610. The -main effort during the past six months had Ix-en war work, and many institutes had sent parcels for the Red Cross and the Finnish relief. The request for parcels, for soldiers had resulted in 59 being forwarded from the federation.
