Amateur Championships There was a large attendance at the Citle Skating Rink, Wellington, on Saturday night, when the New Zealand amateur roller-skating championships were decided. , . The one-mile speed championship resulted:—R. Blair (Dunedin), 1; H. Scanlon (Auckland), 2; J- Matchett (Dunedin). 3. Time. 4.33 4-u. The 1940 New Zealand roller-skate dance pair champions proved to be Miss R. Thomas and Mr. H. Allchurch. The cups were presented by Airs- A. Jo Power Air G S. Bright, on behalf of the New Zealand Roller-Skating Association, congratulated the winners.
