Huggins was elected treasurer and Mr. C. Meachen secretary. Mr. .1. Anutind Smith, treasurer of the Wellington Provincial Joint Committee, explained that the setting up of joint committees throughout New Zealand was for that, purpose of raising funds on behalf of the Joint Council of the Order of St. John and New Zealand Red Cross Society for sick and injured soldiers. The appeal will be launched on Florence Nightingale's Hay. Sunday. May 1.2.
