The standard of play wms good for so early in the season. 'l’he Navy del'em.-e was sound, the goalkeeper. in ipai’tieirliar. making some brilliant. waves. The eentrel'orwa-rd. C.F.O. Kdtwards, and the inside-left, A. B. Josey, combined well together. The Karori forwards played with understanding. ' P. Mulheron, Karori left-balf, showed promise. his stiwldwork being very sound. Most of Karori's attacks were made by Hie right, wing, A. Jeroms-on, who narrowlv miswed scoring several times. Karori's lei'trback, W. Shaw, broke up many of Hie Navy attacks. Shaw scored Karori's goal from a corner, and A. B. Josey Navy’s goal. Leading Seaman W. V. C. Hogan was referee. Tbe teams were: —-Navy: A. B. Thomas (goal) ; O. S. Barford (rightback) ; O. S.
