TAME SPARROWS

TpVERY day sparrows come round the back door and get the bird seed the canary spills. When the canary sees the sparrows there he flies into his seed-box and spills some seed for the sparrows. If anyone frightens then, away he will chirp for them to come back.

One day I put some breadcrumbs outside on the asphalt. The sparrows kept coming and taking the bread away to their nests. Next day the mother and father birds brought two little birds there to feed. I heard them chirping and threw some crumbs out. One cheeky cock sparrow kept coming and taking the biggest piece of bread and flying away with it. Everyday another sparrow comes inside to pick up any crumbs he can find. Sometimes when we are in the kitchen he will come in and picks up all the crumbs around .our feet. —Rose Elf (12), Mastertoii.
