British Trade Thrives ißritish Official Wireless 1 RUGBY, April 17. A feature of the Board of Trade figures published today is the remarkable increase in exports, which last month exceeded in value those in any earlier month of the war, notwithstanding tbe Easter holidays. Tlie exports for .March were valued nt £41,-155,815. against £37.402,395 in February. In 1939, when Easter occurred during April, exports fell off by 111 per cent. The figure for the present month is only £lBO,OOO less than in March, 1939, when there was no Easter holiday. The largest increase during the month has been in the vehicles group, which amounted to £900.000. Imports in Marell were valued at £108,543,254, compared with £95.638.991 in February and £78,021,721 in Ala reli. 1939. Re-exports were valued at £3,000,000.
