SOCIETY OF ST. GEORGE
The third annual dinner, of the Wellington braiicli ol' file Royal Society of St. George will be held in James Smith's Restaurant on Tuesday night, beginning at 7.-15 o'clock. 'l'he principal toast, "England," will be proposed by the High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in New Zealand. Sir Harry Batterbee, and the toast of “The Navy" will be replied to by Captain Parry of 11.M.5. Achilles. Other speakers will be the .Mayor of Wellington. Mr. Hislop, Sir Charles Norwood, Mr, J. Bnrtjon, and .Mr. Lnxford, S.M.
