R.A.F. Warning To Nazis
LONDON, March A 3.
Air Vice-Marshal E. L. Gossage, in a broadcast commentary on the war, gave a warning that German cities will be bombed if General Goering ordered tbe bombing of British centres. He said that the belligerents were still sparring in the air. The enemy’s air warfare bad deteriorated already, and. lie said, “Things may slip yet further downhill. Cities and industrial towns may come in for it. "If that happens there might be considerable damage, but we need not doubt that our people will endure with rhe same high courage as other peoples have recently shown,” he said. “We ourselves would naturally take offensive action in return at the appropriate time.
■■The Royal Air Force has greatly benefited from tbe skirmishes up to date, and gained valuable experience. 'The engagements have proved of hign value, as our pilots have increased their knowledge and have the ability to meet larger numbers of raiders should they come.’’
